typhoon lagoon

You can't really tell in this picture, but yesterday it was raining sideways for a good majority of the day, thanks to a nasty typhoon that swept through the Tokyo area. It's not unusual to see a lot of rain here this time of year (June is Tokyo's rainy season, after all), but it does seem a little early for a typhoon. In any case, it made for some beautiful post-storm weather last night and today, so no complaints here!

The Sega arcade in the background is kinda fitting, isn't it? Good ol' Sega hasn't seen much sunlight lately, what with the Sammy takeover and all...

god, what do all of those people who run those tables and stands outside in akiba do when it rains like that? even regular stores have all kinds of crap outside, or big open fronts.

i just want to thank you for your comment on the Sammy takeover. It's infuriating to no emd that the gaming industry and even the bloody gaming press doesn't give two shits that the SEGA as we knew it is gone, and will be completely gone once Sammy totally wipes it out come October 1st. When RARE left Nintendo, you could hear the schoolgirl bitching and moaning from 'gamers' two gaalies away, and the gaming press trated it as the end of the world.
But when SEGA is raped behind closed doors by CSk and Sammy, taken over and destroyed, there isn't a single, solitary peep. Shame on the fucking sorry gaming media, and shame on gamers in general.
