火星見たよ!綺麗だね。

まさかこんなにはっきり見えるとは思わなかった。一生に一度の貴重な経験をしてしまいました。
私のカメラにはちゃんと写らなかったから、ジョンの写真をコピーさせてもらうね。ありがとう。

火星を二度と見れないかもしれないと思うと、寝るのがもったいない気がするけど、もう遅いので寝ます。おやすみ。

I'm also amazingly surprised you could see it so clearly in the hazy Tokyo skies. I missed it totally, unfortunately, but your photo gives me a really good idea of what I could have seen... unless it's just a speck of dust on your lens ;)

I don't think it really looked that big in real-life. It was more of a concentrated, bright reddish light right under the moon. I tried taking a picture with my camera, and there was either too much reflected light from the moon so that Mars got washed out, or not enought light so Mars never showed up. :(

As you can tell, I am no pro cameraman.

Wow! What a great photo! Although I could see Mars very clearly from my veranda, I could not get any pictures worth saving. It was quite beautiful to see again last night as well. Hope all is fine and dandy! Cheers!

That's a real good picture! Moon appears only as dot in mine. Maybe I'll try again!

Holy crap! Awesome photo, John. Unless I'm imagining it, you can even see the southern polar cap. I tried to take a similar photo from here in Montreal, bad sadly there's just too much light pollution (and my camer sucks).

Man, I should really use the preview button...
