thirsty little girl

Saw this girl on the train on the way home this morning. She obviously knows how to beat the heat:

Let's just hope that's not sake in there...

way home THIS MORNING!?! Wow.
You are more a man than I.

Hope you are not feeling too much like ass... and I hope you still have a job!

I used to bring japanese ocha which I froze in freezer to school... in the afternoon, it's half cold ocha and half ice... nice cold drink... nice... oh, typhoon is here!

Oz - you forget I pretty much make my own schedule. :) I've been working from like 1pm to 1am lately (except on Thursdays, heh), so it's all good. I felt a little crummy this morning, but nothing out of the norm.

BTW, a bunch of us went out for ramen last night afterwards -- you should come next time! The food there is soooooooo good...

Umm... john... why are you taking photos of little girls on the train?
Hmmmm!?

GG-Duo,

Not even that, but who carries a camera with them everwhere they go? I know I dont. I think john really liked her bag, and he needed a reminder, so when he went to get one, he knew which one to get.

:)

Heh: Parisi's a true creature of new-age cultural differences. I set there thinking for a second Wtf? is Parisi just compleatly obvlious to the world sitting home by self.

Then I relized oh wait, only in Japan has the phenomonen of stealing books using your constantly carried camera caught on.

Come visit us one day, Parasi it's quite the good life

Nah, Parisi just wants to be a comedian. The problem is, he's not funny. :)

I carry my bag everywhere, especially in the summer. Gotta have certain stuff on-hand at all times in case of emergency. For me, that stuff includes: my iPod (duh), a small towel (summer here sucks), my camera (love taking pics), my Game Boy (of course), a toothbrush and an extra t-shirt (I live in Kanagawa, but most of my friends live in Tokyo, so I wind up crashing out a lot), etc. etc. etc.

Considering that, it really shouldn't surprise you that I have my camera with me at all times. It's not inconvenient at all.

Yeah, that's the best picture ever taken in Japan.

Then again, I'm a sucker for anything involving trains and beverages. And/or Japanese guys in Lakers shirts.

You ever drink something on the train in Tokyo, and get people looking at you like you're some kind of ignorant bastard? I once bought a 12-pack of American Dr. Pepper at a liquor store in Saitama and went through three of them on the train one night. It was a two-hour ride. This old woman across from me stared like I was the devil.

screw hidden cameras. i'd be mad if i were the little girl.. "somebody secretely took a picture of me and now i'm on some foreign guy's website!!"

Posted by: yuki at August 10, 2003 05:24 PM

She should be flattered!

And who said the camera was hidden? :)

Posted by: john tv at August 10, 2003 05:53 PM

debauchery followed by carbo-loading. Live fast, die young! Probably really good... but I think that would be the last nail in the coffin for me. Unfortunately I have to get to the office by 9am and as it is now Friday mornings are hell for me.

BTW - love the picture. I feel like that soooo often.

I see no problem in taking the picture. Guess it helps that I KNOW you and know you are NOT some weirdo mouth-breather pedophile (or any other form of pedophile).
