Another train shot, only this one from a more personal viewpoint:
As you might imagine, this is quite the familiar sight for me. Of course, missing from the picture is my right hand (it's taking the picture, you perv) and my trusty iPod, which provides superior background music pretty much 100% of the time when I'm riding the train.
Posted by john tv at July 18, 2003 02:51 PM | TrackBackAre you playing Mario Advance 4? I started playing Sonic Pinball Party last night. It's a lot of fun! One of the best aspects is the nostalgia - they use all the original level themes, music and jingles from Sonic 1 on the Megadrive. I haven't played the Nights stages yet and I think the Samba de Amigo stages may be locked. It makes me feel like I actually have some pinball skills, which is nice, even though my score of 23 million was nowhere near the high score table after 20+ minutes of playing.
Posted by: JonnyRam at July 18, 2003 03:37 PMYah, that's Mario Advance 4 in the pic.
I played the U.S. version of Sonic Pinball Party a couple of months ago for review. I liked it -- it's a solid pinball game. My main issue was that the Story Mode was too damn hard for casual players, and since you can't continue because of the way it's set up (tournament bracket), it's kind of impossible to complete. Well, for me anyway. :)

..I guess that's people are thinking. Some people are just too damn strict about manners.
Posted by: yuki at July 24, 2003 12:01 PMwow! are you me??
oh, actually, i don't wear doc marteens with this heat, and my gb is black...
Am I right that you are playing a silver SP and that the reflections/lighting just makes it look like the sort of scheme of an iBook or something? Hmmmm I wish Nintendo would do 'em in that scheme.
Love the page btw n_n
Posted by: theblacklocust at August 7, 2003 07:12 AMThat is indeed a silver SP. They made a pearl white one that actually does look like an iBook, but it was super limited and only available for a couple of weeks back in February.
BTW, that art on your front page rocks -- what's it from?
Posted by: john tv at August 7, 2003 03:59 PMI would do very dangerous, nasty things, to obtain a pearl SP... :]
Um that art is a modified wallpaper I picked up ages ago. Alas, I have no idea what it's based on however. I've taken the liberty of posting it on my webspace if you want it:

Enjoy!
